Antonino Vidal Ortega

Doctor in History from the University of Sevilla, 2001. Master in Latin American History from the International University of Andalucia, Rábida campus, 1995, and Bachelor’s in Geography and History from the University of Seville, 1991.

His research has mainly focused on Caribbean History, with an emphasis on economic and urban history, and has also touched on heritage topics. In recent years, he has shifted his focus towards studies of the sea and the extraction of natural resources in the transition from modern to liberal economies.
